1887: Thomas Fitch residence, 905 Spaulding. Wichita's first house built with electric wiring, Riverside Cottage was designed by architects Proudfoot and Bird. Fitch was an early developer of the newly-annexed Riverside neighborhood, but the real estate bust of 1890 left his company in ruins.
