1922: Billboards at William & Lawrence (now Broadway). The vacant lot on the southwest corner featured a series of billboards for local businesses, including Comley Lumber, Wichita Automobile and Eberhardt-Hays Music. The entire display was created by Western Sign Works, a Wichita-based company. The McClellan Hotel was later built on the site; today it is called the O'Rourke Title Building.
