| 1931:
Smith Motor Co. Pierce-Arrow dealership, 1404 E. Douglas.
                      Among
the casualties of the Great Depression were manufacturers
of luxury goods, including fine coachbuilt motorcars such
as the famed Pierce-Arrow. Today Smith Motors' fanciful
brick building has been completely obscured by a flat, generic,
beige facade. Poorman's Auto Supply now occupies the space. |
