1940: Ellis-Singleton Building, 221 S. Broadway. Virtually unchanged nearly 80 years after its construction, this beautiful Art Deco/Mission-inspired structure is now more popularly known as the Petroleum Building. It was Wichita's first office building with attached ramp parking; it is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
