1967: Wichita Art Association (now Wichita Center for the Arts), 9112 E. Central. This Eastern-inspired facility, located appropriately on the far East side of Wichita, was designed by local architect Uel C. Ramey. Construction began in 1964. Its location is no longer the semi-rural idyll it was then, as Wichita's rampant sprawl has since moved the city limit substantially to the east.
