Leon & Mildred Cotton's 1965

This '65 hardtop was assembled March 9, 1965 at Ford's Wixom, Michigan assembly plant. The car, finished in Pastel Yellow (color code G) with code 54 interior, was delivered to Turner Ford at Wichita and sold to a local businessman's wife. She owned the car for 17 years, when it was sold to its second owner in Clearwater Kansas.

The new owner kept the car in a carport and/or wrapped in plastic. When the current owner bought the Thunderbird in 1988, there were only 34,900 miles on the odometer. Since then the car has won both Concours I and Concours II trophies at Heartland Vintage Thunderbird Club national shows in Kansas City, as well as numerous trophies from other state and local shows.

Today this 1965 Thunderbird is owned, maintained, preserved and enjoyed by club charter members Leon & Mildred Cotton of Wichita.
