1935: Innes Wholesale Furniture, 701-723 E. First. The Innes family operated a series of successful department stores for over 50 years in Wichita, including this furniture outlet on First Street between Mead and the railroad tracks. Today the building -- which has changed very little on the outside -- serves as Innes Station, a collection of fashionable luxury loft apartments.
